Marin had a busy weekend. She had some of her friends over for an early birthday celebration on Sunday. She opened presents with Adeline's help & then we all went to the park to swing. She cries when we leave the park, she really enjoys the swings & watching the random kids play. Today we were at the Garthwait's for a cookout all afternoon... The sleeping pictures are from 20 min ago (6pm) she's completely wiped out! 4 days until she's ONE!

We had a visit from Aunt Katie this week & Grandma Jean. She's getting more & more comfortable walking around on her own. (holding on to something of course!) Her new thing this week is scaling the wall. She's also starting to do well with the walk behind toy. It was way to fast for her up until now. Won't be too long & she'll be walking on her own. I just hope it waits until after I'm home & done with work! I'd hate to miss it. Marin is also saying "yes" like crazy now. She says it in the second video. It's too cute & her temp. answer to everything. The days of constant nodding her head "no-no" have passed. 6 Days until birthday #1!!!

Marin had a SURPRISE birthday party thrown by her friends Sadie & Tessa this weekend. A little early since they won't see each other at the time of her real b-day. The girls had so much fun together & even painted with edible finger paint (pudding.) The adults had a great time watching too!

I am so impatient! I couldn't wait to see my Mother's Day present from daycare that Marin made. So Happy Mother's Day to me a bit early! Here is her framed picture that she made... precious!

One more video today... she loves this gumball machine we bought for her when she had her tubes surgery. Gary has taught her to dance to the song. She'll push the lever over & over until the song starts & then dance her little Marin dance!

She gives a quick wave in this one, we'll have to try again another time.

First Post!

Hello All... Having seen other blogs, I wish I would have started this sooner. Although it will still be a great way to share her 1st year! She's only a few weeks away from turning ONE YEAR OLD!! Where does the time go? Can you believe she's went from 6.14 lbs (1st picture) to 18.4 all in 11 months?! She's changing each day & getting into everything. Each time I say "no" her little head shakes no-no. Too cute!
