Well we made it through the holiday without anyone getting sick, then BAM... Maeve threw up this morning. At least it hit her the day after Christmas!
Yesterday morning Margaux was up at 7:00am on the dot. We had told them Saturday night when they went to bed that they had to sleep until at least 7. Marg's internal clock is spot on!
As per usual by the time Gary & I made coffee and headed downstairs they had all of their presents sorted into piles & all had sleepy eyes.
Margaux got an early birthday present on Saturday night... an adorable piggy hat that she refuses to take off. Even slept in it. Makes me laugh, she just loves pigs these days. She was thrilled to open her stuffed piggy from Santa & her Star Wars moccasins. Squealing and hugging them like crazy. Marin was most happy with her UWMilwaukee shirt and Justin Bieber perfume & Maeve was over the moon when she opened her very own ipod.
Margaux even took her pig hat off for a few short mins... but it went right back on pretty quickly. They were all so happy with their presents which included books, several games, fuzzy socks, clothes, new hats, Calico Critters, a cd, legos, a vanity mirror & makeup! They all had makeup on their lists & Santa listened. I told them it is for weekends only!! haha
We hung out all morning assembling new toys, playing games & relaxing together. Once we got dressed we used the selfie stick to take a few pics together.
Marg wearing the pig had of course!
We had yet another fun day together. So hard because it all goes by too quickly. We headed to my aunt & uncles for dinner, Maeve was out cold 5 mins into the car ride. Christmas is exhausting!
Now that I know she got sick, I am guessing she was already feeling it a bit Sunday night. Poor baby. No plans today, we need to work on getting our house together & probably assembling some legos. Looking forward to a few low key days before we head to Detroit for the weekend with friends for a visit & the Packer game. Hoping the rest of us stay healthy this week!!! Merry Christmas! xoxo
