Easter has come & gone. {sorry no photos from Easter... I spent the day in bed with a terrible headache. I felt miserable & therefore, took no photos. Insert sad face.} We all attended the Easter vigil on Saturday night for Mike's Baptism/1stCommunion/Confirmation. The mass started at  8pm & wasn't done until after 10:00!! A late one, but the girls did great! They were so well behaved & even received many compliments from others in church about their good behavior. Makes a mommy proud!!! Easter day the chicks were up early to find their baskets and then Gary/girls spent the day at my mom & dad's with family. I was sad to miss it, but really would not have been the best company the way I was feeling!!!
So now...Katie's wedding celebrations begin!!! Starting with her first shower this past weekend in Michigan. We all had a great time & the girls were so excited to be able to attend a shower!! A bit chilly outside for the end of April, but we still had fun.
The girls of course enjoyed all the sweet treats & ate nothing else. Not a good lunch for them at all. They were so pumped full of sugar between all the cookies, cake & candy.
All of the treats were great, but what they enjoyed most of all was helping Aunt Katie open all of her gifts. So many presents... any kids dream!! Maeve's reactions were hilarious. She was so excited to see Katie open all the gifts. Marin enjoyed a giant flower that was on one of the presents & loved making it a hair accessory!!
After the shower we headed back to Mike's place & spent the night. Lots of eating & laughs. It was a fun weekend. Hoping the weather warms up a bit for the shower we're hosting next weekend here... this cold weather is crazy! Looking forward to a low-key weekend this weekend. Not many of those in the near future with all the wedding stuff coming up! So much fun to be had in the next few weeks...we're all so excited & looking forward to it!!!

Let the Easter festivities begin! The girls are counting down the days until the bunny arrives. They are excited to find their baskets & have a conversation about where they think he will hide them every day. {Definitely giving me some good ideas!!} Saturday morning we started the morning with a RAINY & VERY WET Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood. And the capital letters are very necessary...we were soaked. But the kids didn't mind. They wore their rain jackets, boots & all had umbrellas. Here is the crew that participated in the egg hunt...

 Right after the egg hunt we all hopped into the car to go visit the Easter bunny & have another hunt at the grocery store. We've done this every year since moving into this house. Lots of fun.... for Maeve, not so much!!!!
She was terrified & would not even get close to Mr. Bunny. So Marin, Margaux & their friend Keira happily sat near him for a photo. They collected a lot of treats & even got to decorate a cookie. All three girls loaded on the frosting & sprinkles.
Monday afternoon I boiled all the eggs & we decorated right after dinner. It's definitely getting a bit easier & more fun as the chicks get older. Marin tried really hard again this year to do some fun mulit-colored eggs. As much as I want them to stay little forever, it is fun to see them grow.
 Maeve was our little mess maker... are you surprised??!! I was terrified that she was going to spill all the dye because she can get a bit crazy, but she did a good job. She just wants to be like the big girls!
 And here is Margaux doing her best to double color her eggs as well. Her name is definitely the hardest one to fit on a little egg, but she did it MARG it is!!! {Notice all the snow outside behind her as well...yes, it is mid April & we just got a bunch of snow...not our idea of spring.}
2014, our table looks so festive with the new bunny chair covers I got the girls. I set the table all cute & Marin came home thinking I had made them! Nope, sorry Marin I bought them! I am glad she thinks I am crafty though :)
 All three sillies with their "name" eggs.
Four more sleeps til' Easter!!! Excited for a fun weekend with these chicks! xoxo

It's warming up around here!!! The sun has been shinning & the kids are out playing... I love it!!!
We rang in spring with a neighborhood party this week. It had been discussed that we'd have a 1st annual 60's party. The party could no be planned & needed to happen the first day we hit 60 degrees, didn't matter what day of the week it was. Well it happened on Monday! 62 degrees at 4pm so we all grabbed our grilling food/drinks & gathered at our house for a celebration! It was a lot of fun.
Here is a fraction of the kiddos from our "hood" in a pic a neighbor took...
At least 5 girls missing from this photo. Our neighborhood is STACKED full of little girls. Lots of trouble when they all hit high school!!!
It did get pretty cold once the sun went down so we had a short bonfire too. It was a fun night & great to be outside again. We all know we deserve some warm weather after the long winter!! haha
Neighborhood Easter egg hunt tomorrow!!! Hope it's sunny & nice! xo

Busy, busy week last week. Spring break for the kiddos & we did our best to keep them busy. They got some new toys, we went to a movie, out for dinner, bowling, to a gymnastics place & then the highlight of the week... weekend at the water park with their great friends!
So much fun... we are already looking forward to the next time we can go back. Here are the kiddos with their friends in our hotel room, all ready for the water park!
They swam & swam until it was time for the water park to close the first night {9pm}
Below there is a photo of Marin & Karis standing under a HUGE ship that would fill with 1,000 gallons of water & tip over every five minutes. I think Gary enjoyed standing under the falling water as much as the girls did! Crazy amounts of water!!!
 Maeve playing in the little kiddo water areas...
It was so fun for them to have their friends with them. Best way to keep everyone happy! More pics of the girls with Karis, Karina & Micha...
Once we got back to the room we assumed the kids would crash & the adults would watch basketball. Well, we watched basketball but the kids DID NOT crash. They were all up until midnight having so much fun in their boathouse room, which was a HUGE hit! Adorable little room with bunk beds & a little boat bed for Maeve. Perfect for our three kiddos. Love the pic with Maeve hanging out the boat house window. Margaux was too tired to get out of the bottom bunk to get in the photo...haha
Their boat room also had it's own little flat screen tv mounted on the wall! Marin could not have been happier! First thing she did when they woke up Saturday morning was turn on her tv & watch from her top bunk {with donuts of course!}. After breakfast we headed back to the water park for another full day of swimming & water slides. For Margaux, it was a lot of hot tub time. That was definitely the place that kept her little body the warmest! She took quite a few towel breaks to warm up every now & then. Marin did not stop the entire time. She could have swam & went down slides for days!!!
Last photo of the trip was Maeve out cold. I just love her cute little chubby cheeks...I could smooch them all day long. I guess it was too much swimming & fun for a two year old to handle without a nap. It's taken us all a few days to recover & get back into the swing of things. Very fun spring break...definitely makes us all look forward to summer!!! xoxo
