Fingers crossed... I think we're all feeling better. The whining has subsided & the goofiness returned. I thought the girls were feeling better days ago, but I was wrong. Margaux has continued to throw up the past few nights...it's just insane. One night off & she was back at it again last night. I can not even tell you how much laundry I've done & they somehow manage to get sick all over me & NEVER Gary. What's up with that??!! But today is the day... I think we're on the upswing, or at least we better be! Looking forward to getting out of the house & back to normal after TEN days of being sick.

Hope everyone else is healthy & enjoying the sunshine!.... xoxo

Long week here... two sick ladies Sunday but we decided to take our mini-vacation to Chicago anyways. They were both so good the entire time, even with Marin spiking fevers each day. She was very up & down each day but definitely enjoyed herself. Once we got back I ended up taking her in (Thursday). The Dr. thought she had pneumonia but after a chest x-ray.... Nothing! And then last night Marg got sick. Needless to say, today we're all resting. Well, the girls are resting, I'm doing loads of laundry! Here are a few pics from our time in Chicago. The girls can not wait to go back, they had so much fun. Amazing how much time we spent in the hotel swimming pool too! They definitely had their share of activity.
Margaux & I before heading into Shedd Aquarium. It was just gorgeous out...
Gary & the girls...
In awe of all the GIANT fish. Marin's favorite, the hammerhead shark!
Margaux touching some sort of sea creature...
Marin reaching to touch a starfish. Very slimy & prickly...
The four of us (plus Maeve in the belly) downtown Chicago...
Exhausted & ready for some rest...
Also exhausted & killing Gary's back!
Making a very important phone call in her "office" a.k.a. the hotel room...
They both loved the cab rides & enjoyed sitting in the hotel window watching the cabs & people. Margaux in the window eating her lunch...
Getting ready for bed after swimming FOREVER! Again people/cab watching...
We had such a great time. The girls can not wait to go back. Gary was off one day with us (Shedd Aquarium day) and the others we just bummed around town ourselves. Riding in the cabs without their car seats was a HUGE hit. Lots of giggles & "whoa's" as they were sliding around the back seat. They also LOVED the giant Disney & American Girl stores. So fun, but I'm glad to be home (minus the 18 inches of snow we came home to!) & to have everyone in their own beds. xoxo

Nothing was more fun than putting on fake makeup this week. I've attempted to keep every empty container, brush or bottle I come across & they love to carry them around in their purses along with a tiny mirror. On this particular day, the brush was extra tickle prone & they couldn't stop laughing & reapplying...
Way too cute not to capture...

I'm sure it's just a VERY small taste of what's to come in the next 15 years having three girls in the house. I look forward to many more girlie moments in the future. And, if anyone is ever looking for some good "girl" time, you'll always know a great place to get your fix!! xoxo

These are from last week & Dr. Seuss's birthday. We went to story time @ the library & the girls made Horton ears. (He's an elephant from the Dr. Seuss story Horton Hears a Who) They were just hilarious with these ears on & paraded around the house for a few days with these floppy elephant ears on. Marin was of course the big elephant & Margaux was the silly baby elephant.
LOVE this picture of Marg...
Marin, aka the Mommy elephant...

And here they are showing their ears in action. Very silly...

Videos of the girls sledding at my mom & dad's yesterday. The picture above is Marin last night with her battle wound (little scrapes on her nose that you can barely see in the dark lighting!) They both had so much fun, I wish I could have been there to see it. (I was at home waiting for the beer bread to finish baking & didn't make it there in time to watch... booo!) It was Margaux's first time sledding & she was fearless as usual, requesting to go by herself after just one time down with daddy. It was amazing how fast they were going as well... the snow is not fresh (as you see from the peeks of grass in the background) & it really was a bit icy so they really cruised down!

So funny! She's so tiny...

Baby is getting bigger & so is my belly...

Marin loves to pose with me during my weekly belly shots. She's got a different face each week. We're 25 weeks down & into the third trimester already. It goes by fast, although when I think that we've still got 3 months to go it seems so far away! We are all getting very anxious to meet little Miss Maeve. Guess we'll have to continue being patient & enjoying her ginormous kicks in the belly :)
