GBP home opener this past weekend so we took the chicks down to Lambeau to tailgate! Sounded like a great idea & the girls were excited to go but they lost their enthusiasm once we got there & we had to walk through chaos to get to the tailgate!!! lol This was our best attempt at a picture of all four girls. They all looked so darn cute!!
Maeve & mommy at the tailgate
Marin & Grandpa... one of these years she'll get to go to a game! ha!
We stayed for a few hours & then headed home to watch the game. Such a great day for football, it was gorgeous outside. These warm weather games don't last long, it will be cold & snowy before we know it! xoxo

Yesterday was Marin's big field trip to the state capitol. With the craziness of school starting I somehow missed the sign up to chaperone the trip. Marin was super upset until I told her that Uncle Jesse was going to join her on the trip... all sadness went away! It all worked out great seeing as I got super sick yesterday & would never have been able to go with her. Everything happens for a reason I guess. They started the day at Camp Randall & got to go on the field where the
Wisconsin Badgers play.
She was pretty excited that they were able to go on the field & then up into the sky boxes as well.
Here she is with her new friend Alleda who just moved into our neighborhood & is in the same class as Marin. They have become great friends in the past few weeks.
 Selfie with Uncle Jesse! He was so great with her & she had so much fun. She's been talking about all the fun they had all week. {And the silly cat shirt he wore!}
He even bought her a new necklace & a stuffed seal from the Zoo where they had lunch together. Spoiled her rotten & she loved it. The end of the day ended with a tour of the capitol.
Here she is with her class.
First of many trips this year. Hopefully I can join in on the next one. Thanks again Jesse!

Almost two full weeks of school in the books & the girls are doing great!
Loving their new teachers, playing with friends when they can & making new friends in their classrooms. Maeve has adjusted so well. She really loves going to school each day. I think having her friends with her all day is a huge plus for her! Here she is with Madden & Kendall on the playground this week.
This week was also the book give away at school. Our girls really enjoy this special treat. I still have some of the books I received from the book fair as a kid. The girls & I read them all the time.
They each get to pick a brand new book to keep & they love that.
Maeve chose a Peppa Pig book, I was not at all surprised!
I am still adjusting to the quiet house, getting lots done during the day & missing them all while they are busy learning at school. The days go by so fast!!! Knowing they are happy, makes me happy though. xoxo

Our baby lost her first {well sort of} tooth tonight! Aside from the big guy that got pulled up top, this one was her first official tooth. So loose, so she let me pull it out. I was shocked & she did great. We did not want her to swallow that little bugger in her sleep!
No extreme close up of her little missing bottom tooth, but we did take a selfie together! Double hole on the right side of her mouth. This one is directly below the missing top tooth. She looks adorable & of course wanted to keep the tooth so she wrote a note...
Margaux helped her write the note & Maeve signed it. Not sure what we're going to do with all these teeth laying around between the three of them! The one next to the space is loose too. Won't be long before that one comes out too!! xoxo

A few weeks ago during Sunday dinner Marin told us that she was the "most country" one in our family. My sister laughed & said  "Marin, have you ever even been to a farm or on a tractor?!?" Then we all told stories about how Katie & I used to go to the farm all the time when we were little... ride tractors, feed the cows, etc. Turns out Gary & I are far more country than the girls are. Made us all realize the girls needed a trip to the farm!
So last week before school started the girls had a day with Grandpa. My dad picked them up in the morning & brought them out to his cousin Pat's farm.
They were all very excited. We packed lots of snacks, got them in some play clothes & sent them on their way with their rain/mud boots on.
Our little chicks were country bumpkins for a day & we all loved it!
They got a ride on the tractor which I remember doing all the time as a little girl. Many hours spent riding along on the tractors with my dad & Pat.
They also showed them the really old tractor...
They played in the barns for a bit & hung out with a lot of cows!
Marin said it smelled really bad... she almost threw up! haha
My dad & Pat took them out to lunch and brought them back to the farm in time for them to see them milk the cows. Also something I remember doing all the time as a kid.
I am so happy they stayed long enough to see that.
So many great pictures & such a fun day for all of them.
Great memories made that day with Grandpa. I think they are looking forward to doing it again!
Thanks Dad! xoxo

1st day of school for all my babies yesterday.
Today is day two, the house is now quiet & I have about 6 hours to myself. Crazy feeling. It will definitely take some getting used to! All three girls did great yesterday morning. We were all up and ready to go ahead of time... I was shocked!
Marin got to eat on the special plate for breakfast the last official day of summer...
Maeve had breakfast yesterday the 1st day of school...
And Margaux got it today, the second day of 2nd grade!
Such a fun time of year. I loved seeing all the 1st day of school photos on facebook. I could have looked all day. Our chicks were happy to pose for photos this year, no complaints. I asked Maeve one last time to just skip school & stay home with me. She happily declined and told me she wanted to go to school to play with her friends! Margaux looked right at me and said "I'll stay home with you mom!" Made me laugh, I so wish I could keep them all home with me all the time. Safe at home with mom is the best place, right?! Maeve was just too excited to think about staying home...
Margaux just couldn't wait to wear her new Converse shoes!
And Marin was just excited to have a day with her new teacher. Still can't believe it's her last year of elementary school. My baby is so grown up!
Per tradition, we all met at the bus stop for a group photo of the neighborhood kids. This year our group is larger than ever!!! Pretty amazing bunch of kids, they are all such great friends too!
A few shots of the girls & their friends all looking adorable...
The big girls & an adorable pic I snapped of my dad & Gary walking home with little Sloane.
Yesterday when they all left for school I got a good workout in with some friends & then went out to lunch! It was a good day & it went by so fast. I was super surprised that I didn't shed one tear when Maeve got on the bus. She was the one shedding tears... she was upset about a bus pass {that I forgot} so I was so preoccupied trying to take care of that, I had no time for tears! Thanks Maeve!
Two days in & a long weekend ahead. xoxo
