This morning I was woken up to the sound of Maeve running through the house yelling "It's Christmas time, it's Christmas time!!!" I answered her telling her it is not Christmas yet & she quickly replied "yes, it is!!!" Once I got out into the kitchen I realized it was because we had snow!!! It was coming down like a blizzard. Seems a bit early, but it sure was beautiful outside.
Maeve was eager to get out & play in it...
We shoveled what we could {It is melting pretty quickly} and it didn't take her long to put a handful into her mouth! Why do all kids love eating snow? Then she requested that we make a snow man. The snow was perfect for making a snowman & we had our little one made fairly quickly.  We searched for two stick arms & headed into the house to get a carrot, broccoli for eyes & a hat. When we came back out we found our snowman Olaf looking like this...
Poor Maeve was not happy. "Oh no! I didn't even get to say goodbye to Olaf & now he's all messed up!" It was pretty funny. She was clearly very upset, so we decided to give him his nose & eyes anyway. That made her happy!
Something tells me we will have plenty more opportunities to make another Olaf this winter! xoxo

So Margaux is beginning to be such a little writer. She is very good at phonetically sounding out words & loves to write anything & everything. She walks around the house asking how to spell dozens of words each day. Her little brain is developing!!! I love reading the things she comes home with. Most of her writing is really sweet & basic like "I love my mom and dad." Then yesterday I opened her folder & found this...
It reads... "He went out naked that shows his privates." And the illustration was very alarming!!! {You can click on the photo to see it larger} I immediately began to chuckle. Why did she draw this little boy & write such a story??!!! Then I read the directions at the top of the paper & it all became very clear. I am familiar with the book No David & we actually have it here at home. {I ran to find it right away} In the story David is very naughty & at one point he runs outside naked...
I was most pleased to know that it was David's back side that she had illustrated...not his front side!!
Too funny not to share. This paper will definitely be saved in her bin for us to enjoy later in life.
Also, a quick pic of Marg and her classmates that was posted on Facebook this week...
They were playing puppet tag in gym class. She really is enjoying being at school full days. Growing up too fast!!! xo
