A few pictures from story time @ the library with Maisy the Mouse. We don't really read the Maisy books, but Marin was still pretty excited. Margaux really enjoyed Maisy from afar (waving & saying "hi Maisy!") but when it came time to get up close she was terrified. We are so happy with the story time that the library up here has... much nicer having something every week vs. once every few months at the old library. Just one more perk of the move!
This is where we'll be living! We closed on the land last week & hopefully we'll begin building sometime in the next week or two. Super exciting, we can't wait to get started. A few days ago, we took the girls there to look around & I wanted to snap a few photos. It's always been fun for me to look back @ the picutres my parents took before our home was built. (Empty lots in the area, etc.) Crazy to think that this empty piece of land will hold our completed house in a few months! The girls enjoyed running around & asking to play on the neighbor's swing set. (I think we should probably meet them first ladies.) More pictures to come....

Happy Belated Father's Day to all! We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday we spent the majority of the day@ my dad's work picnic. The girls had lots of fun playing in the two bouncy houses, (Gary enjoyed also!) getting their arms painted & enjoying cotton candy for the first time. Margaux was not a fan, but Marin devoured it! I think the highlight of Margaux's day was the corn on the cob...she couldn't get enough of it. It was funny watching her try to eat it will all of her SIX teeth. Hopefully she'll get some more one of these days so chewing is a bit easier.
Sunday we went to Gram Goessl's house for Father's Day dinner. It's so nice to be able to attend these things now! Still hasn't sunk in... xx
Arm painting #1, she got a few more throughout the day also...
Margaux in the bouncy...
This block of cheese weighed 700 lbs! My dad brought home so much, I don't know how we'll ever eat it all.
Mmmmm, grilled corn on the cob...
My favorite, cotton candy. Marin definitely takes after her mother...

Last week the girls & went to a friend's house for a mid-morning play date. It just so happens that her house is right across the street from a great splash pad. How convenient is that? My girls would be in heaven! They had a great time playing in the water & running around. The weather was a bit cool, so the water time was short-lived. We're definitely looking forward to giving it a try on a HOT day!

Oh, my! She would love a puppy.... but I'm not sure we'd ever go that route. Margaux had so much fun with our friend's puppy Lincoln last night. It was too cute watching them play together & to see how excited she'd get. He's just over 11 weeks old & so soft/fuzzy. I think he probably slept well last night after all playdate with my girls!

A few nights ago we went to the park to watch my cousin Aaron play baseball. The girls had so much fun & were thrilled that Aunt Amy bought them a bag of popcorn. Marin completely inhaled it... it was like she's never seen or eaten popcorn before! Margaux was lucky to get a few bites in between standing at the fence with Coach John. (My Uncle) We did manage to stay for the entire game but not without hungry kids... Marin was happy to have a snack at the condiment table. Pickles! haha

Birthday Celebration #2 on Monday
Matching Aprons made by GG Goessl (Great Gram)
So excited for Toy Story cake...

New bike!

First attempt... she needs work.

Aprons, so cute!

Birthday Girl with Daddy...
Monday we celebrated again... we had to wait to give gifts until Aunt Katie was home from up north. It was fine, I felt really guilty that we didn't emphasize her birthday enough with the move happening the same weekend. She definitely got her share of celebrations & I think she was more than happy. She was very excited to get her new bike, although she needs some more practice. Right now all she wants is for me to push her everywhere. Not going to happen! It was a fun day, complete with a Buzz, Woody & Jessie birthday cake so she was thrilled. Finally 3 years old, definitely going on 13... xoxo

Birthday Girl!! I can't believe she's 3...

So gross, those are not bubbles...
Watching Marin open her birthday card...
I'm a bit behind & have lots to post from Marin's Birthday. Sunday was her birthday & our first full day here in GB. Aside from being completely exhausted, it was also very hot outside. My Gma Betty had a bbq at her house that afternoon, so we celebrated Marin's birthday there with family. The girls had a blast playing in her back yard w/ their second cousin (my cousin) Sylvia. Margaux thought the bird bath was a giant tub of bubbles & we couldn't keep her out of it! More celebrating on Monday....

Yes, it's official. We are out of our house & living @ Grandma & Grandpa's house. It was really an odd feeling driving away knowing that we won't be going back there... EVER! It's even more odd now when I'm constantly feeling like it's time to pack the car after a weekend stay & return to Milwaukee. Nope, we're not going back. I'm constantly wondering what the new owners are doing & how they'll have it decorated. The one room that I was sooo attached to was the nursery. So cute & so pink, I know that will probably be one of the first to get painted. It was a great first home for us, hopefully we'll find or build something I love even more....and with a basement that DOES NOT FLOOD!! xoxo
