Friendsgiving #2 this evening. This time with Margaux & her friends. I told the girls that we'd continue the tradition with their friends. We'll host Friendsgiving all four years of high school. So first year for Marg + co. They looked cute as ever too! All dressed up, arriving with their food. Maeve said Margaux's Friendsgiving had better food! haha

Thanksgiving decor at the table... rest of the house decked out in Christmas decor! Photos for all seasons at the Brown house.
How cute is this cookie plate?
Margaux chose a hair claw clip & a little ornament for her small gift for each of them. And this group said a small prayer before dinner. I love it!
Thankful for this group as well. Our girls certainly are blessed with wonderful friends & we love their families too! xoxo

Thanksgiving 2023 - We had a super chill day, which it just the way we like it. This evening we had dinner at my parents. Margaux made friends with our new friend Brett Favre the turkey.

And the girls played bingo with GG, Joann & the littles. It was pretty fun!
Love this crew & thankful for our time together... even though we struggle to get a good photo!! haha
Marin & Emmett changed into their matching pajamas afterwards. They took a posed photo to make fun of their friends who also had matching pj's.
Really hard to believe we're through Thanksgiving already. Christmas will be here before we know it. Looking forward to a fun season. xoxo

This was something new this year... a wreath making class! Katy suggested it & we thought it was a great idea. I had no clue how to make a wreath & I think my sister and I feel like we could do it on our own next year. It was pretty easy. We surprised ourselves.

The set-up was great! Our friend Katy was with & our aunt Amy. We were able to bring our coolers & snacks into this lady's garage for a few hours while we crafted our wreaths/greenery ball & centerpiece.
They all turned out great! I would definitely do some things different next time & maybe bring my own decor. We'll see... maybe next year we'll attempt on our own in Katie's garage. xoxo

Friendsgiving #1 this evening with Marin & her group of girlfriends.

They are always so excited to see the table all set. Third year for these girls & we look forward to it every year. This year Marin picked little facial cloths with hair clips for the gifts at their table spots.

It is so fun to watch them all arrive with their food. It is a lot! I also love that this group of girls dresses up for their dinner. They all looked so darn cute.
Thankful for these friendships. Marin is lucky to have such a great group of girlfriends.
By the time they were done, they were changing into sweat pants & ready to snuggle in for a holiday movie in the basement. Happy Friendsgiving! xoxo

I spent a night in Door County with some work friends Friday afternoon/night. We cozied up in pajamas for a night of eating, drinking & fun. These girls have been doing this for a few years. Our schedule is always difficult in the spring with the girls track schedule, so I was happy that this weekend was open for us.

It was nice to get away for a  night. We played games & ended up at the bar late night for a bit.

Yesterday, we woke up & went for a long walk through the park before just hanging for the day. I got home last night & my bed felt amazing. I was tired from a great time. Looking forward to doing it again in the spring!

Nothing makes me happier on Halloween than knowing that it is time for the Christmas trees! The old tree in the basement had seen its better days, so I ordered a new one & I love it. It is more shaggy looking, which makes it look real. With all the time we spend downstairs, we were ready for an upgrade.

The big tree upstairs is still in this state...
I need help getting to the top of the tree & this big one takes a long time to decorate. I'll hopefully get it done this weekend. The girls are waiting.
Maeve had a birthday party this evening & I just got this photo of the girls. They went to dinner & a hockey game. Maeve said it was so much fun, I am not sure she's ever been to a hockey game.
I am ready for bed! Big day of tree decorating tomorrow... xoxo

The cross country season may be done, but it's never officially over until the banquet. Tonight, we celebrated a great season for the girls. Coach Nuthals had wonderful (and very funny) things to say about both girls & their CC besties. Margaux & Naina - Marin & Maddy. Two duos that have nothing but love for each other & lean on each other for support.

Marin & a few of her varsity friends. Two of them seniors who the team will not be the same without.
Love that these two can do high school together for 2 years & we are so proud of their season.
Both girls with their CC best friends...
And that is officially a wrap on the season! I think Margaux is thrilled & Marin is so sad. As much as Marg dreaded some of the runs, I think she enjoyed herself more than she let on. Marin just loves all things cross country & was just finally getting into her groove this season. Excited for what they'll accomplish next season! xoxo
