Almost two months in & still icing. Nerve pain & an ear that feels like it is infected. Ibuprofen makes me feel amazing, but not good for my stomach long term... so icing it is! Really hoping these nerves heal on the fast end (6 months) and not the long end (12 months).

Marin is living her best life & soaking in all the summer fun while she can with her friends.
They celebrated Laila's birthday before heading back to town for the football game.
Always funny to have high school football games starting before school actually starts. Marin & her crew take the dress up themes very seriously. This week was beach theme. Quick pic with Emmett at the end of the game.
And another birthday celebration. The Hall twins also have an end of summer birthday.
And Maeve enjoyed some boating time with Avi & Fitz.

We're not ready to let summer go just yet! Loving all the fun & warm days. xoxo

This afternoon we watched a little CC while Marin ran a GREAT race. She's killing it this season. Year #2 on varsity & still improving each run. The season starts early with the first meet being before school even starts. Kind of nice to get a head start on the season, but downfall is that the temps are still warm.

We are all so proud of her!
And she has the cutes cheering section...
Margaux opted out of CC and joined our friend Heather at the Mean Girls musical with her friend Ashlyn and her mom.
Such a fun night for her. Her very first Broadway musical. I saw Mean Girls in NYC and it was so great, I was very excited that Marg got the opportunity to go.

Thanks Heather for adopting Marg as your daughter for the night!! xoxo

Mom + Maeve day in Door County today. One of the girls moms arranged for us all to spend the day together. I think they all had their share of fun.

We did a little hiking, stopped at the candy shop, had breakfast and lunch, and visited a waterfall on the way home.
Peninsula Park is just beautiful & Maeve is growing up!!

Really fun day for the girls & the moms. I think this will be a tradition that we'll continue in the years to come. I'd love to do this with all three of the girls & their friends/moms.

Well, not a fun weekend without someone exposing the whole group to Covid. Gary was a little raspy in the mornings over the weekend. By Sunday evening he felt a little off so decided to test. Instantly positive & obviously exposed everyone. So his next few days looked like this... working in his garage office that we made.

And playing Fortnite in our room while he isolated, feeling totally fine.
Basically living his best life. My sister & her whole family + my mom/dad all have it as well. Guessing that is where he got it. Just crazy that no one else is positive here... yet! Never a dull moment! Last year Travis was positive after the murder mystery weekend, this year it was Gary's turn. Stupid Covid. xoxo

8.14.2022

This past weekend we had our annual Murder Mystery weekend up north with friends. This year we decided to purchase a mystery & involve the kids. BIG group, but so much fun.

Marin was a resort dancer, Gary was a wealthy resort visitor, I was a honeymooner, Marg a bellhop & Maeve was an island dancer too. Gary came up with a cheesy "wealthy person hmmmm" noise that really made us all laugh. He won & was voted best played part. Marin was constantly dancing with sparklers because she was a fire dancer.
Super funny to see them all in their roles & trying to solve the mystery. Maeve needed to attempt the fire dance too.
And the outfits were great!
First night was a bit wet, lots of rain but we improvised & still had a lot of fun. The rest of the weekend we spent on the water.
Tubing & surfing. The bigs love it... Maeve, not so much. She chooses to hang on the boat with us the whole time.

Thankful I goto to join in on the fun. My original surgery was scheduled for the beginning of August, so I was thinking I was going to miss out this year. So happy to have it done much earlier. xoxo

With Gary traveling for work, we decided to take a quick trip to Milwaukee to hang with the Anguils. Fast trip, but we packed in quite a few things. Milwaukee Market to start...

A little downtown shopping. This Maeve sign at Anthropologie is always so fun for her to see.
And a stop at UWM for the girls to get some new apparel for October when they come up to watch Gabe play soccer by us. Indy is always the big hit at their house. Big, fun teddy bear.

 Packer Family Night 2022!

We didn't even get tickets for family night because we felt like the girls had done it enough years. Then a few days before, Montgomery's offered us a few tickets so Gary & I decided to take Maeve and Bhodi. Was fun to be close to Katie & Mike too!

Big crew all in a row!
Natalie got us some tickets to join them on the field for the fireworks. Super fun for Maeve & Bhodi to walk through the tunnel with some of the players/families.
Waiting for the fireworks... these two in heaven standing next to the players. Big, excited eyes!
Out of order photo of us before we went into Lambeau.
Fireworks show.

And a big thank you to the Barry's for letting us snag their field tickets.
After the fireworks, we dropped the kids at home & went out for a bit. Such a fun group of friends.

We love GB! xoxo
