First Communion Day for Margaux today!
We started the morning at the King's house so Margaux & Karis could get ready together. Karis's grandma did the girls hair while we all hung out & had breakfast together. The girls were so anxious to get their dresses on & looked so darn cute all dolled up.
She really wanted her hair braded into a little bun & that is exactly what she got. It was perfect, thank you Pam!!! Then we headed to church for a few photos with her friends before mass.
How cute are these girls?
Just love them. Margaux's fabric banner hung on the end of our row right were we were sitting. She did a great job illustrating our family that God created.
She did great receiving her communion. She was a little nervous but seemed much better once she knew there was nothing to worry about. She also brought up the wine before communion... important job! We were happy she made it with out spilling wine on herself! After church we headed home for a little celebration. Such a big day for her, she definitely felt special.
Love this little middle so much. We are so proud of you Margaux!
A few pics with the grandmas & her godmothers Aunt Katie and Grandma Jean.
So thankful that everyone came to celebrate with her. She plans on buying a tiny pig with her money... little does she know, that is not happening. We love our little First Communicant!!! xoxo

Dance 2016-2017
Marin is in Pom this year. She really wanted to give it a try but I think she secretly misses hip hop. Definitely more her style. Their dance is pretty darn good though & danced to "SOS" by Rhianna. Marin has some great moves & really gets into the dance.
Margaux's first year in dance & she chose hip hop. Their dance is so stinking cute to "You Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer. Her little legs just move like crazy & she smiles the entire time...love!
So excited for their recital in a few weeks. They've worked hard since dance started in September.
I know they'll both rock it! Love our little dancers. xo

Tonight was Marin's wax museum performance. She has been working so hard the past few weeks to complete her project. The assignment was to chose someone famous to write a report on & then condense the report into a 30 sec to 1 minute speech about the person. Marin chose Carrie Underwood & because she is so involved in the Grand Ole Opry we chose that as her backdrop. Tonight for her performance, she dressed as Carrie too! {They also got to perform for the other classrooms in the school today, so both littles got to see her twice!}
She did such a great job & worked so hard on her report. I was amazed at how fast she memorized her speech too, she had the full minute memorized in about 24 hours. Funny how she can't remember her church prayers for religion class but she did that so quickly!! haha She looked so darn cute too!
All of the kids backdrops had a "PUSH" button that they made & stuck on. Tonight they were standing in front of their backdrops & the parents/families walked by to push the buttons one by one. Once they were "pushed" the kids would recite their speech & then return to their frozen "wax" position. It was fun to see the kids all dressed up & learning about their famous people. Wonder who the little chicks will chose when they get to 4th grade?
Awesome job Marin!!! Very proud of you!! xoxo

Happy Easter!!!
Easter bunny came last night & ironically hid both Marin and Margaux's baskets in the same spot as last year. We are not sure how or why he did that, but it helped us this morning! We didn't have much time to look for baskets before heading to church a little after 7:30. Marin's basket had new Adidas sandals, 2 new shirts, candy, gum, hair ties, etc. Marg's basket had a farting pig game {of course!} chalk, two shirts, makeup, candy, etc. And Maeve's basket had a new funnel/ball game, little puppy toys, 2 shirts, gum, etc. So much stuff! They were all thrilled! We had fun playing the pig game together after church. Lots of fart noises & so many giggles.
Posed for a few photos after church before Marin changed into her comfy clothes. The other two wanted to stay in their dresses.
Goofballs, always posing.
Love them all so much, they looked so cute! We are headed to my aunt & uncles for lunch and then a chill afternoon at home. Happy Easter to everyone!!! xoxo The Brown 5

Lucky chicks got to have not one but two egg hunts today. This morning they hunted in the neighborhood with a really big group of friends. Such a fun group of kiddos... so many kids!!!
Each kid got to find 10 eggs. We had to put a number on it with a group this size!
Adults enjoyed bloody Mary's while the kids ran around the yards. Fun morning for everyone.
Then this afternoon we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa's for another egg hunt for our girls & Sloane. So.Many.Eggs! Spoiled little girls had huge bags full of eggs.
All three girls had so much fun helping Sloane find eggs around the yard. It was cute watching them follow her around looking for eggs.
Best photo we could get before Maeve noticed there was a giant dog next door & was terrified. Kid kills me, she is so terrified of dogs! Fun day for the girls. We definitely don't need any more candy here. Hope the Easter Bunny goes light on the candy for that reason! One more sleep til he comes! xo

Egg coloring evening. I always feel like it goes so quick with all of us coloring so I boiled what I thought was a ton of eggs... still blew through them! It's a good thing we all like to eat them after because we have a lot of hard boiled eggs.
Margaux always takes her time & loves to try making them look good. So patient {sometimes} dipping in multiple colors.
Maeve drops the egg in different colors & prefers the solid eggs. This year our coloring kit was for glittery/golden eggs. She had fun painting the eggs with the shinny paint.
Marin & Margaux tried putting tape around the eggs & that turned into a disaster! Worth a try but made a mess. Marin also gets into making her eggs look fancy. Next year we need to get creative!
Finished coloring, a quick change in to pj's and they were ready to pose with some of the eggs!
Only a few sleeps til Easter now. The girls are all excited and hope the bunny is good to them! xoxo

Yesterday was Margaux's day to bring bread to church as one of her 1st Communion tasks. Hayden's Nona came to town to make Italian bread with the girls. {It was also Hayden's bday!}
It took a few hours to make the bread & the girls loved every minute of it. Really fun for the two of them to make the bread together & a great learning experience. They made the dough together...
And then used this fun board to kneed the bread before they formed them into spiral rolls & baked them.
At the 4:00 mass the girls got to give their bread to a stranger after it was blessed by Fr. Dave. Margaux gave her bread to a nice lady that happened to be a friend of my Grandma Goessl's. {Grandma Jean gave her a little heads up!} So cute!
Yesterday was not only bread day & Hayden's birthday, it was also April Fools Day. Maeve spent the night at Eva's Friday night. The two of them came to our house bright & early Saturday morning and were excited to play a little prank on Marin {She was the only one home because Marg was making bread}. They had taken the stuffing out of oreos & replaced it with mayonnaise and toothpaste!
Marin woke up & was excited of the idea of cookies for breakfast... until she took a bite!!!
Her face was priceless & the little girls loved that they tricked her. April Fools Marin!
xoxo
