This afternoon we decided to take the girls to a house that is just a short drive from our house where they have TONS of Christmas inflatables. We've visited before & it never gets old. I loaded up our girls & three of the Veraghens and went to see them all.
It is just crazy to see them all... there has to be at least 40 of them. All huge & some even play music. We've heard 1st hand that his electricity bill is well over $600 a month when they are running for just a few hours a day.
This big one with all the reindeer was our favorite. All of the girls chose a deer to stand by.
Fun way to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. A little snow would have made it a bit more festive.. but we're not complaining. It was beautiful out.

A few Thanksgiving pics from our trip to Madison. The girls had so much fun playing with their cousins Devyn & Landyn. How cute are they? 5 littles running around the house makes it loud at times but we try to keep them in the basement!! haha
Gary & Margaux both really enjoyed the turkey! Margaux thought it was so funny to have the giant leg on her plate. She didn't even come close to finishing it.
Uncle Jesse played cards with the girls for quite some time. He wins for the goofiest uncle for sure!
 Grandpa & his girls.
It rained the entire day!!! Not a good drive home in down pouring rain, but we made it. We had a great day.  I even made it out shopping after we got home. Only stayed out until 11:30 pm & got a ton accomplished. xoxo

Science night last night at the girls school. Always a hit with all the kiddos. The high school chemistry club does a great job showing off some of their best experiments. And it's always fun to hang out with your friends on a school night!
Both bigs took a turn in the giant bubble once again. Maeve was too shy to take a turn. I took this photo of Marg with my cell phone so it is not as clear, but you get the idea.
Marin's turn...
Lots of fun experiments for all. Maeve even came home with one of the door prizes, a tornado creator. She spent the entire morning playing with it, pretty fun!
The girls are already looking forward to next year's show.
The past few days Margaux & Maeve have been all about making their own lunch, specifically pb&j sandwiches. Maeve especially feels so special that she is able to make it on her own. Very proud!
I think she'd eat a sandwich for every meal if I let her make it each time.
Now if I could just teach them to clean up the mess {wink, wink} we'd be in great shape!
Still fun to see them so excited about making their own pb&j's. xoxo

Nothing crazy to report since Halloween. We are all gearing up for the holidays around here. We put up our tree in the basement already last week & the big one is being brought upstairs as I type {thanks Gary!}. I love, love, love Christmas. The house always feels so cozy.
But for now we're all busy with life... running the girls to their activities & spending lots of time outside since it has been so mild. Definitely has not felt like November. Today was almost 60 degrees & just beautiful outside. The girls have been enjoying time with friends. I took this picture of them a few days ago. SIX little girl heads that took me almost a full hour to crimp!
My arm was so tired but they loved it. Well worth the pain!
They have also been all into having blind taste tests in the kitchen. Most of the time they enjoy putting crazy things like ketchup, dressings, pickles, random pieces of cheese & whatever else they can find in the pantry/fridge in each others mouths. It is very entertaining. The past two weeks since Halloween they've been doing blind taste tests Halloween style with all the candy they collected. Much more pleasant than a spoonful of ranch dressing!
This day they used a hat to cover their eyes. Usually it is a scarf of some sort & there is no cheating! They get really angry if someone cheats & sees what is about to enter their mouth. They have all had a lesson on cleaning up the kitchen as well. Lots of mess with this fun, but it is worth it!
Hard to believe that there is less than two weeks until Thanksgiving & only 5 more Friday's til Christmas too. We're looking forward to some fun times ahead in the next few weeks. xoxo

Happy Halloween! Once again the weather was TERRIBLE on actual Halloween. Raining all & fairly cool for the third day in a row. So the kids got out their rain boots, jackets & umbrellas and headed out to trick or treat!
Maeve would not get in the photo & 1/2 of the neighborhood friends weren't in the shot. It was kind of a mess but they had fun. Still a cute photo of the girls. Maeve has been anticipating Halloween for weeks now. She was terrified of all the scary masks, etc. Enough that she said she didn't want to go trick or treating at all. When Saturday came I did get her to go to a few houses, but she really was on the lookout for scary costumes the entire time... never really enjoyed herself until we got home. But the big girls had a blast. We let them go with a group of 6 girls through the neighborhood to the houses they knew & they felt pretty cool. Afterwards we had our annual neighborhood gathering here. Lots of people & food as usual. It was a great time. The rain even stopped so we were able to have a bonfire in the driveway.
Luckily, we had trick or treated the day before at Schneider. And it was fairly nice out so knowing the forecast looked terrible for Saturday & snapped the costume pics ahead of time!
Here they are... our cowgirl, tootsie roll & little devil. All three looking adorable.
Originally the tootsie roll was bought for Maeve & she changed her mind so she wore a costume from the bin in the basement & she was thrilled! They all looked so darn cute & were so happy to get so much candy! It was so nice to trick or treat inside & be warm. After being there for about an hour, they had no reason to need any more candy. They could have skipped trick or treating on Halloween all together!
Even snapped a photo with Sloane looking adorable on her 1st Halloween as a little duck. Cutest little thing we've ever seen!
Today I spent some time taking down the Halloween decorations around the house. Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE Christmas. I am ready to put up our tree right now! Gary even carried the one for the basement out last night during the Packer game. There is something wonderful about sitting at night with the tree lights on. LOVE it! Not going to decorate for Christmas quite yet... maybe next week!!
