The polar vortex is upon us. The girls have now had several days off of school because of the dangerously low temps. As low as -50 with the wind chills. We are not sure how they'll make up all these days but we have been doing our best to stay warm/safe inside. Face masks, baking & friends. The little girls decided to make cake pops while Marin & Estelle enjoyed salads while their charcoal masks set.
Cake pops were delicious & Maeve needed to try a face mask as well. She chose a gold one that peels off once dry. I have bought several of them in the past few weeks, all three of them are on a face mask/peel kick. For some reason they all just love them. Cheap way to keep them busy when we can't be outside. Can you tell Margaux was a little stir crazy? She came out dressed like this today...
Cracks me up.. bad hair day hat, her year of the pig shirt, glasses & a robe. Long days inside are exhausting. Most days we have gotten an evening call telling us that school is cancelled, so the girls love that they can stay up later knowing they don't have to be up early. But that also resulted in this....
Tired little girls falling asleep all over the living room every night! Hoping they can get at least one more day of school in this week, but not looking likely. Hoping these days off don't extend our school year too much. Fingers crossed, but for now we'll enjoy our extra days home together praying for a warm up! xoxo
